In 2005 the RESolutions Group moved in to farming with the purchase of Merrifield Range, 10 km north of Donnybrook, 210 km south of Perth, Western Australia. Using Google Earth, you will find it located at 33.32.4 S, 115.54.95 E.
Merrifield Range consists of 108 acres (43 hectares) of which approximately half is cleared pasture with the remainder native regrowth forest. The type soil is loam with a small percentage of clay, perfect soil for fruit and nut crops. The pastures have a northerly aspect providing the maximum amount of available sunlight.
The property has two good dams with Silver Perch and Marron suitable for
small scale aquaculture, and ecotourism. There are a number of permanent soaks and
picturesque creeks, with an abundance of native flora and fauna – a favourite of visitors is the Motorbike frog (click here to listen to the male's call (requires windows media player or quicktime), a friendly species often visiting the cabin.
The dams floweth over.
